One of the most successful children's shows in television history, MISTER ROGER'S NEIGHBORHOOD appealed to children across the generations for its simple, predictable format, and comforting tone. Debuting in 1968, the series stuck with its original format for its remaining 31 seasons until 2001. Though the show was mostly set in host Fred Rogers's living room, viewers were also transported to the Land of Make Believe via a toy train that bridged two real and imaginary worlds. Through daily visits from friendly neighbors and the occasional field trip, Rogers tackled topics large and small in a mild-mannered way that young viewers could understand. Adorned in his signature cardigan, Rogers exhibited immense sensitivity towards issues ranging from the first Gulf war to how to tie one's shoes. It was this gentle approach that really translated with a young audience and made the show distinct from others of its time. Though Rogers passed away in 2003, his legacy lives on through syndication and in the hearts of adults who grew up listening to his advice. ADVENTURES IN FRIENDSHIP is a collection of the show's most important lessons about the value of friendship.DVD Features:Note: Contains two 30 minute episodes:When Friends Fight andLove.Region (unknown)Keep CaseFull Frame - 1.33Additional Audio Material: Sing-Along - YOU ARE SPECIALInteractive Features: Read-Along - MAKING FRIENDSText/Photo Galleries: Text - Pizza Bagel RecipeAdditional Products: Booklet - Care-Giving Tips BookletDVD-ROM Features: DVD-ROM Game - 1.
